Exciting mini Exhibition opening June 2022
Showing all new work created during lockdown
An exciting exhibition by artists, mother and daughter, Barbara and Catherine Reed. Drawing on their life in Africa the exhibition focuses on the first peoples of Africa, the San, and their relationship with the planet living in total harmony with nature for thousands of years. Today the San are themselves under threat of extinction at a time the world should be learning from them.
Featuring textiles, oil paintings and mixed media artworks the exhibition explores the San’s relationship with nature and links this with recent news coverage and images of man’s actions today on the planet – pollution from mining, burning of fossil fuels, the devastating effects of climate change.
During lockdown – due to the global pandemic – work has continued on developing the sculpture garden. The planting is now starting to grow amongst the sculptural forms, creating a new perspective every day as the works almost become one with nature
I am delighted to announce I will be having a joint exhibition with international textile artist (and my mum), Barbara Reed at Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens

Delighted to announce I have been accepted to the 2018 postgraduate programme at Leeds School of Art – one of the most prestigious art schools in the country and where my hero’s Henry Moore/Barbara Hepworth walked the corridors.
Following the huge success of my solo show last year I am thrilled to confirm I will be holding a joint exhibition with my mother, International Textile Artist Barbara Reed, at the Python Gallery, Middlesbrough.
